To ensure the satisfaction of our customers and to maintain the integrity and quality of our products, Toshiba America Consumer Products, L.L.C. is issuing a product notice.

We have identified an issue related to one specific component contained in models SD-43HT and SD-KT50, which component was supplied by a third party component manufacturer. Although the component functions normally in many units, in others it has the effect of causing the unit to power off. This is not a safety issue and can easily be resolved by a service technician.

If your unit is affected by this issue, it will display the following error message after initial power up, "Hello… Protection… Good-bye", and will then shut off. Please call our Customer Solutions Group at 1-877-290-6064 for instructions on how to resolve this issue. Additionally, please call us if you have experienced the aforementioned error message, and have had your unit repaired.
